WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING
“
John has always been someone who wanted to help others succeed in life. When he encountered two terrible tragedies in the same year, he found a way to use his experience, to bring comfort and hope to others. His book, “The end was only the beginning” is an open-hearted retelling of his story, with some surprising revelations. Perhaps the greatest comfort he shares is that loss does not have to lead to loneliness, and that love can be eternal. It’s an inspiration.

A teacher by example, a mentor by behavior, Mary Alice imprinted upon all who knew her a mark as indelible as her smile. Thanks, friend, for giving to so many, both two legged and four, with a joie de vivre that will be with us all forever.

Over the last five years I have come to admire John Bevilaqua, whom Mary Alice married just before her malignancy returned for the third time. By his attentiveness and concern, I could sense that there must indeed be a wonderful and very special lovestory. What came after her passing has been an amazing and joyful experience for allof us. Prepare to become more enlightened as you read the rest of the story!

More than just a sweet tribute (which it is). A wonderful mix of remembering, the joy of life, and the exploration of real communication that transcends death.
